Child Dental Benefits Schedule - $1095 Bulk Billed

Medicare’s Child Dental Benefits Schedule provides individual benefits for a range of basic dental services including check-ups, x-rays, cleaning, fissure seals, fillings, root canal treatment and extractions.

You may use the capped benefit of $1095 to pay for your child’s basic dental services over a two-year period.

If the funds are not fully used within the first year, it can be used in the second year, provided your child is still eligible. After the second year, any remaining balance will not be carried forward.

Fissure sealants are one way to fill pits and grooves to avoid the formation of tooth decay. It is a strong resin material that fights off acid and bacterial attacks. Fissure sealants are non-invasive and very easily applied to the teeth!

Fluoride Treatment

One of the most effective ways to protect the tooth from decay is the use of fluoride. Fluoride makes your teeth stronger and more resistant to  cavities. It strengthens the outer layer of the tooth enamel, by re-mineralising and repairing the structure. Fluoride treatment is recommended from a dentist twice a year.
